Volleyball announces spring schedule

Spring Schedule

BLACKSBURG – The spring schedule for Virginia Tech’s volleyball team has been finalized, as announced by head coach Jill Wilson on Tuesday.

The slate includes three weekends and one weekday in March and April, with three of those coming in the state of Virginia.

On March 24, the Hokies will make the trek down to the Tar Heel State to compete at the Carolina Union Volleyball Club College Tournament. The rest of Tech’s matches will be in the month of April.

Kicking off the month, the Hokies will host their home tournament on April 7 at Carilion Clinic Court inside Cassell Coliseum. The squad will play host to Appalachian State, VCU and Virginia. Action will begin at 10 a.m. ET and will conclude with the final match of the day after 3 p.m.

Hitting the road on Highway 81 to I-64, Tech will make the trek to Richmond on April 14 for the Richmond Volleyball Club College Tournament. The final date of the season will be on April 17 down the road at Radford.

The fall schedule will be released at a later date.

The offseason has been good to the Hokies so far, as last week right-side hitter Jaila Tolbert and setter Rhegan Mitchell participated at the USA tryouts in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The pair practiced with some of the best college players in the country. Leading up to the tryout, the duo spoke on the opportunity here.
