Career Highlights: In 2015, his opponents' batting average of .204 was the lowest ever in a single season at the school while playing in the ACC (min. 50 IP), while his .217 average in ACC-only games was also the lowest (min. 30 IP).

2016: Started nine times and appeared in 18 total games, the second-most on the team … Had a 6.21 ERA in a total of 66.2 innings (third), struck out 47 batters (third, and included a team-high 22 looking), walked 29, and posted a 1-8 record with one save (one of six Hokies to record a save in 2016) … Posted two quality starts and combined on one shutout out of the bullpen – at Boston College on April 29 also where he picked up the save … Tossed a career-high 8.0 innings against Notre Dame on March 26, while throwing at least 6.0 innings in four starts ... Struck out at a season-high five batters twice – versus Miami (March 13) and Wake Forest (May 15) … In relief appearances, inherited eight runners and two of them scored (best ratio on the team) … Retired 6-of-9 first batters faced … Pitched a total of 41 scoreless innings, including 5.1 consecutive … Also, threw 21 perfect frames and, at one point, retired 13 straight batters … Had one double play turned behind him … In 8.1 innings out of the bullpen in ACC games, allowed just one hit and two walks, while striking out six.

2015: Appeared in 15 games making 11 starts (second on the team) … Had a 3.73 ERA (second) in a total of 72.1 innings (second), struck out a team-high 69 batters, walked 38, and posted a 3-2 record … In his nine starts, had a 3.97 ERA in 59.0 innings, while opponents hit just .197 against him … Led the team with six quality starts, but also threw a team game-high seven innings of relief at Pittsburgh on May 15 … Opponents hit a team-low .204 against him … Struck out at least five batters nine times, including a season-high nine against Toledo on March 1 … Pitched a total of 53 scoreless innings (second), including 9.1 consecutive … Also, threw a team-high tying 22 perfect frames, struck out the side twice at one point, retired 14 straight batters (third longest on the team) … Had two double plays turned behind him, both GDPs … In the NCAA, was ranked in two categories – 60th in fewest hits allowed per nine innings (6.84) and 152nd in strikeouts per nine innings (8.59) … In the ACC, was top 10 in two categories (at the end of the regular season) – fourth in opponents' batting average and sixth in fewest hits allowed per nine innings, and finished fifth in opponents' batting average and seventh in fewest hits ... In ACC-only games, finished sixth in opponents' batting average (.217).

2014: Appeared in 17 games making five starts … Had a 3.71 ERA in a total of 43.2 innings, struck out 36 batters (tied for fourth on team) and posted a 1-2 record … In his 12 relief appearances, had a 2.42 ERA (best among pitchers with at least 11 IP) in 22.1 innings and opponents batted just .179 against him … Overall, hitters were just .199 against him (lowest on the team) and hit nine extra-base hits (six doubles, two triples and a home run) … Threw at least 1.0 inning in 10 relief appearances and did not allow an earned run in nine of them … Inherited 10 runners and allowed just one to score for a 90.0 percent held rate (best on the team with more than three) … Struck out at least two batters 10 times, including a season-high six … Pitched a total of 32 scoreless innings, including 5.1 consecutive … Also, threw seven perfect frames, at one point, retired seven straight batters ... Had four double plays turned behind him, all GDPs.

2013 (at Crowder College): Compiled an overall 8-1 mark for the Roughriders in 17 games … Posted a 2.39 ERA in 83.0 innings with 111 strikeouts and two complete games, one of which was a shutout … Broke the school record for strikeouts in a season … Was named Region 16 Player of the Year (NJCAA-Division I) and was first team All-Region 16 pitcher … Struck out at least five batters in 11 games and six times threw at least six frames … His career highs at Crowder included an 8.0-inning outing on April 20 against Mineral College and a 13-strikeout performance in six innings at North Central Missouri on April 25.

High School: Named Frontier League MVP following his senior season ... Also earned first team CIF-SS Division 6 honors in 2011 ... Named first-team All-Frontier League in 2009 and 2010 ... Finished the 2011 season with a 7-2 record, two saves and a 1.02 ERA ... Posted a 6-4 record with one save and a 1.33 ERA in his junior season.
