Haught, Zavatsky named to All-ACC Academic Team

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Redshirt senior Jared Haught and redshirt junior Zack Zavatsky have been named to the All-ACC Academic Team, the conference office announced Thursday.

Haught and Zavatsky are two of only five student-athletes on this year’s team to earn All-American honors at the 2018 NCAA Championships.

Haught, a mechanical engineering major, was named to the all-academic squad for the fourth time in his career. Haught and Duke’s Jacob Kasper are the only four-time honorees on this year’s list. Zavatsky, a packaging systems and design major, was selected to the team for the third time.

Also on Thursday, the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) awarded both Haught and Zavatsky All-Academic accolades.

To be eligible for All-ACC Academic Team consideration, a student-athlete must have earned a minimum 3.00 grade point average for the previous semester and maintained a minimum 3.00 cumulative average during his academic career.
