BLACKSBURG - The Virginia Tech women’s basketball team (20-13) hosts Fordham in the Third Round of the WNIT on Thursday, March 22^nd at 7 p.m. in Cassell Coliseum.

Tech rolled into the Third Round of the WNIT after defeating George Mason 78-69 on Sunday afternoon. The Hokies reached the 20-win milestone on Sunday for the second straight season.

Taylor Emery had a stand out performance scoring 23 points in the win. Regan Magarity caught fire from beyond the arc, going 3 for 4 from three, totaling 17 points.

Fordham (24-9) arrives in the Third Round after victories over Harvard and Drexel.

Rams guard Bre Cavanaugh leads Fordham at 17.2 points on the season. Forward G’mrice Davis is averaging a double-double with 16.6 points and 13.5 rebounds per game.

The Series- Tech owns wins in all eight previous meetings, most recently matching up in 2004.
