Responsibilities: Whidden oversees the marketing for Tech’s volleyball, wrestling and baseball programs as well as the Hokie Kids’ Club.

Joined VT Athletics Staff: 2013

Prior to Virginia Tech: Whidden served as a marketing assistant at the University of Oregon (2012-13), overseeing marketing for women’s soccer, women’s lacrosse, men’s and women’s tennis and acrobatics and tumbling. Before moving to Oregon, she served as marketing associate at Iowa State University (2011-12), overseeing marketing for volleyball, gymnastics and the Jr. Cyclone Club.

Education: University of Florida, 2008 (B.S. in business administration); University of Florida, 2010 (M.S. in sport management).

Of Note: Whidden has been a member of NACMA since 2011. She was also a member of the NACMA Marketing Team of the Year awarded to Iowa State in the 2011-2012 athletics season.

Personal: A native of LaBelle, Fla., she currently resides in Blacksburg.
