  • Director of Football Video and Technology

Josh Bost enters his second season as the director of football video and technology. In his position, he manages all facets of the football video department. That includes the Hokies’ new virtual reality technology, a nearly $100,000 investment that serves as a teaching tool for Tech’s players.

Bost’s list of duties also includes budgeting, ordering, researching, and maintaining the Hokies’ XOS Technology, a system utilized by many NFL teams and one that gives the coaching staff a wealth of information in a matter of seconds. In addition, Bost and his staff coordinate, record, and edit all video from practices, games, opponent’s games and recruiting for each coach to review and breakdown. Bost came to Virginia Tech from Memphis, where he had worked on Justin Fuente’s staff as the video coordinator since August 2013.

Prior to working at Memphis, Bost worked at North Texas for nine years as the director of video operations. He graduated from Middle Tennessee State in 2003 and worked in that office as both a student and graduate assistant before moving to North Texas.

Bost and wife Holly have two children – a son, Micah, and a daughter, Lizzie.
