Responsibilities: Armstrong supervises all aspects of academic support services provided for the sports of football and women’s golf. Additionally, she serves as the SAASS liaison to the registrar’s office for purposes of certification of all student-athletes.

Joined VT Athletics Staff: 2005

At Virginia Tech: Before moving into her current role within SAASS in 2010, Armstrong served as an assistant director in SAASS, providing support to the freshman football student-athletes and serving as the tutorial coordinator. Prior to joining the staff full time in 2005, Armstrong served as the SAASS intern for two years.

Education: Virginia Tech, 2003 (B.S. in human development, with communication and psychology minors); Virginia Tech 2005 (M.S.Ed. in heath and physical education).

Personal: Armstrong and her husband, Adam, enjoy traveling and spending time at the beach.
