NEWTON, MA – Despite Meagh Graham’s eight saves, the Virginia Tech lacrosse team fell 9-7 to second-ranked Boston College (16-0, 6-0) Saturday afternoon. Tech falls to 11-5 (4-2) in the ACC ahead of next Saturday’s Commonwealth Clash showdown with Virginia.

With the win, the Eagles clinched the ACC’s regular season crown and the one-seed for the ACC Championships held in Durham, North Carolina April 26-29.

Graham set the tone for the Hokies early when she came up with several saves from free position opportunities and she had tallied six saves by the intermission. The redshirt senior also came up with four ground balls on the afternoon.

In the second half, the Hokies battled back from a 5-2 deficit, ultimately tying the game at seven goals apiece from Taylor Caskey.
