BLACKSBURG – After its first win of the season, a 20-3 commanding performance against ODU Saturday, the Hokies are back on the field Wednesday to take on the Campbell Camels. First draw is set for 1 p.m. from the Indoor Practice Facility.

The Hokies jumped into the Coaches Poll on Monday, entering at No. 25, while the squad is receiving votes in the Inside Lacrosse poll.

Kelci O’Donnell led all Hokies goal scorers with four goals Saturday, a career-best, while Emma Crooks recorded her first game-winning goal of her career.

Meagh Graham earned the win, making six saves in the first half before freshman Morgan Berman saw the first action of her collegiate career in the second half.

Tristan McGinley (9) and Kelly Glatthorn (5) corralled 14 draw controls between them in midfield igniting the Hokies’ offense. McGinley scored a hat trick and Glatthorn also found the back of the net in the second half.

The Camels enter 0-2, falling to Richmond 16-5 on opening day and Duke 18-8. Senior Mackenzie Koeller leads the Camels in scoring with five goals and one assist on the season.

THE SERIES: Tech won the first ever meeting between these programs last season, 19-5 in Buies Creek, North Carolina. Kristine Loscalzo scored six goals to lead the Hokies.

Sydney Gagnon earned the win in 43 minutes of work, making four saves.

NEXT UP: Tech will take on the nationally ranked Duke Blue Devils on Saturday, Feb. 24 at 3 p.m. from the Indoor Practice Facility. It will be the ACC opener for both squads.

Last season, the Hokies won 11-6 in Durham, the program’s first ever victory over the Blue Devils.
