Getting to know Caroline Barwick

Q: Why did you choose Virginia Tech?

BARWICK: “I liked the environment of everything and everyone was so nice and seemed like they loved it here.”

Q: What was your favorite thing about your visit?

BARWICK: “The football game because it was exciting and fun. I had never experienced anything like it.”

Q: What do you like about Coach Sung and the lacrosse program?

BARWICK: “He really wants you to be a better person, he wants you to be a better Lacrosse player and he will work with you until he gets you where he wants you to be.”

Q: What are some of your strengths on the field?

BARWICK: “My speed, and I’m not a selfish player. I like teamwork.”

Q: Who is your favorite professional lacrosse player?

BARWICK: “I looked up to Taylor Cummings a lot. I was actually able to see her play. I went to some of the Maryland games and she really is just an awesome player.”

Q: What is your most memorable lacrosse moment and why?

BARWICK: “For club we beat a lot of very good teams. I remember we played this team called Lady Rock, and I think we lost 19-1 in this one game. I then switched to another team and we beat them.”

Q: What interests you about graphic design?

BARWICK: “Hopefully I’ll get a job out of college with that or go to grad school, and work on it a little bit more. I love art, I’m an artist and I like working on computers so seeing all the different techniques they use are really cool.”

Q: What has been your favorite part about Virginia Tech so far?

BARWICK: “I love all my classes. They are very fun, and I like the spirit here everyone is a hardcore Hokie.”

Q: If you couldn’t play college lacrosse, what other team would you try out for?

BARWICK: “Volleyball seems pretty fun. I enjoy volleyball, I didn’t play during high school but it seems really fun.”

Q: What kind of music do you listen to and who is your favorite artist?

BARWICK: “I listen to country. I listen to rap with friends but I don’t really listen to it by myself. I listen to ‘80s pop music. My favorite artists are Kesha and Phil Collins.”

Q: What was the last good movie you saw?

BARWICK: “You Again.”
