2017: Took a redshirt season … Competed unattached at the Hokie Open (6K) and came in 16th overall with a time of 20:10.6 … Ran unattached at Virginia Tech Alumni Invite (8K) and finished 80th with a time of 27:37.3 … Ran unattached at the Hokie Invite (6K) and was 44th with a time of 21:00.1.

High school: Ran track and cross country at Montgomery Blair High School … Ran on the varsity squad for three years … Finished 33rd at the MPSSA 4A West Region Cross Country Championships with a time of 17:30.1 his senior season … Has a personal-best time of 17:13.9, which he ran while finishing 39th at the Spiked Shoe Invitational … Came in seventh at the Blair at Poolesville meet … Won the state title in the 800 as a junior during the outdoor season … Also won the 800 at the county and regional outdoor meets that year … Anchored the 3,200-meter relay team that won the state outdoor title his junior year … Was fourth in the 800 at the state meet his senior season and anchored the 3,200-meter team that was fourth as well … His time of 1:53.94 in the 800 is the eighth-fastest time in county history.
