2016: Appeared in 17 games (tied for third most on the team), all in relief … Had a 5.58 ERA in a total of 30.2 innings, struck out 24 batters, walked 16, and posted a 1-1 record with one save (one of six Hokies to record a save in 2016) … Earned first Tech win after 2.2 scoreless innings out of the bullpen against Campbell (March 9) … Picked up his first collegiate save versus Alcorn State (May 7) … Tossed a season-high 4.1 innings against Liberty on March 15, while throwing at least 1.0 innings in 10 outings ... Inherited 11 runners and eight of them scored … Retired 9-of-17 first batters faced … Struck out at least two batters seven times, including a season-high four twice (Liberty, March 15 and Notre Dame, March 25) … Pitched a total of 19 scoreless innings, including 6.2 consecutive and ended the season at 4.1 straight … Also, threw eight perfect frames and, at one point, retired 10 straight batters.
