  • 2017 All-ACC Academic Baseball Team

Career Highlights: Scored game-winning run in walk-off against Georgia Tech on April 4, 2015 ... One of three Hokies to hit a grand slam in 2015, hitting his versus Radford on April 6 ... On March 4, 2017 versus Binghamton, followed back-to-back home runs by Nick Anderson and Sam Fragale with his own solo home run and the trio became the first three Tech teammates to hit three home runs in a row in recorded history.

2017: Made 44 starts during the season – 40 in left field, three in center and one in right – while playing in 54 total games … Had eight multi-hit games, including two games with a career-high three – at Clemson (April 9) and at Radford (April 11) … Added four multi-RBI games, including one with three, and 10 multi-run scoring games … Had a career-high seven-game hitting streak and a reached base streak of 13 straight games … Batted .244 with 38 hits, including six doubles and nine home runs (tied for third most on team) for 71 total bases and a .455 slugging percentage … Scored 30 runs and added 22 RBI … Drew 24 walks (second), including one intentional, and was hit by a team-high 16 pitches for a .398 on-base percentage … Also added two sacrifice bunts … Was 2-for-3 in pinch-hit opportunities and was 4-for-5 in stolen base attempts … Scored a team-high six game-winning runs and added two game-winning RBI … Also had one outfield assist during the year ... His 16 hit by pitches tied a single-season school record and, at the end of the regular season, was tied for 27th in the nation overall and 36th in per game average (0.30) ... Finished 35th in hit by pitch per game and 36th in overall hit by pitch.

2016: Started 11 games – six in right field and five in left – and played in 27 total games … Had four multi-hit games, three multi-RBI games, including a season-high four versus Alcorn State (May 8), and one multi-run scoring game … Had a season-best two-game hitting streak and reached base in three straight … Batted .232 with 13 hits, including three doubles and two home runs, for 21 total bases and a .375 slugging percentage … Scored eight runs and added nine RBIs … Also drew six walks for a .306 on-base percentage … Had two sacrifice bunts … Was 2-for-2 on stolen base attempts ... As a pinch hitter, had a team-high three pinch hits in nine at-bats and also drew a walk … Notched one outfield assist.

2015: Started 28 games – 15 in right field and 13 in left – and saw action in 35 total games … Had six multi-hit games, two multi-RBI games, including one with five RBIs (vs. Radford on April 6), and three multi-run games … Had a season long three-game hitting streak and a six-game reached base streak … Batted .200 with 19 hits, including two doubles and two home runs, for 27 total bases and a .284 slugging percentage … Scored 16 runs and added 10 RBIs … Drew 13 walks and was hit by a team-high 12 pitches for a .367 on-base percentage … Also added a sacrifice bunt, an outfield assist and was 1-for-3 as a pinch hitter … Scored two game-winning runs ... In the NCAA, was ranked 112th in hit by pitch, which was seventh in the ACC.

2014: Came off the bench in seven games, used as a pinch hitter six times, and made one start in left field … Had one hit in 11 at-bats and also scored a run, both against Duke.

High School: Earned varsity letters all four years while playing for Coach Pete Schumacher at James River … Named a three-time first team all-district at third base … In junior season, hit .377 with eight home runs, 30 RBIs and 30 runs to pick up first team all-region, all-metro and all-state honors at third baseman … Louisville Slugger named him a preseason honorable mention all-american heading into his senior campaign.
